Resources to Help with Fertility

Fertility can be such a beautiful and difficult subject to talk about as women. The desire to conceive and bear children is beautiful, but can be an emotional journey. First, we want to recognize that you special, important, and that you are heard. You are not alone in this journey, data has shown that 1 in 5 women between the ages of 15-49 in the United States is affected by infertility. Everyone has a different journey, and that is okay. As The Utah Birth Place, we are here to support you in this journey. Here are some simple ways and resources that can help you along your journey. Again, these are suggestions and resources. Every body is different, so always seek medical advice from your care provider.

Some simple things you can do daily to help with your fertility:

  • Eating healthy
  • Eating foods like walnuts, tomatoes, citrus fruits, full fat dairy, beans, and salmon,
  • Eating regular meals with protein
  • Maintaining a healthy body weight
  • Regular physical exercise
  • Yoga
  • Meditation
  • Stress management
  • Plenty of good sleep
  • Researching more on fertility
  • Having a supplement regiment
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Avoiding alcohol, smoking, and caffeine
  • Seeing a chiropractor
  • Using 100% water-based lubrication when having intercourse
